Cornerstone Chambers is running a series of free webinars covering selective licensing and aimed at local authority officers. Mandatory, additional and selective licensing are often part of local authority strategic long term planning but can also involve complex issues of law and practice especially regarding implementation and enforcement of a local authority's property licensing regime.

The webinars will be hosted by local government and housing law specialist Dean Underwood who has experience in advising and representing both local authorities and landlords.

Although the first webinar in the series has already taken place there are 3 remaining sessions which each last an hour. These will cover:

  1. Licence applications and fees: commonly encountered issues: Thursday 14th July
  2. Licences and licence conditions: understanding the scope of local authority powers: Thursday 21st July
  3. Prosecutions and financial penalties: top tips for successful enforcement: Thursday 28th July

The webinars are all 11.00 a.m to 12.00 midday and can be accessed here.
