The LGA has published updated guidance on support for Ukrainian nationals fleeing from the war with Russia who are or will be new arrivals in the UK. The guidance covers resources for councils but also includes information and signposting links that can be used by Ukrainians (both those with family in the UK and those without) and sponsors as well as Local Authorities (including best practice shared by various Local Authorities).

These support resource pages will continue to be updated regularly by the LGA as circumstances develop and "further more detailed" guidance is expected on Local Authority responsibilities including with regard to safeguarding (currently of particular concern with regard to accommodation offers directed at young female refugees fleeing the conflict).
